Embracing Our Catholic Ethos through Charitable Initiatives

At St. Michael's Catholic Primary School, our faith isn't confined to the walls of our classrooms; it's woven into the very fabric of our community. Our Catholic ethos is central to all we do, exemplified through our core C.I.R.C.L.E values: Care and Concern, Independence, Resilience, Church, Learning, and Enjoyment. These values provide the moral compass that guides our actions and instil the spirit of love, compassion, and community.

In our commitment to nurturing these values, we've embarked on a journey of charity and goodwill, aligning with the profound teachings of our Catholic faith. We're dedicated to reaching out to those in need, echoing the Gospel's call to care for the least among us. Our charitable initiatives reflect the essence of Catholic Social Teachings, emphasising principles such as solidarity, the dignity of every human being, and the preferential option for the poor and vulnerable. We actively embody these teachings through various fundraisers, volunteer efforts, and acts of kindness.

As you explore this section of our blog, you'll discover how our school family lives out the C.I.R.C.L.E values, demonstrating our unwavering commitment to building a more just, compassionate, and inclusive world. We invite you to join us on this journey, where charity, faith, and the Catholic ethos converge to make a meaningful impact.

Together, we seek to cultivate excellent students and individuals who make a positive difference in our ever-changing world, inspired by the love and teachings of Jesus Christ.

Our Harvest Collection 2023

he Harvest Collection has been blessed by Father Baker, packed and is ready to go to a wonderful charity, 'Medway Foodbank', who's mission it is is to help the homeless, needy and vulnerable people of all ages in the Medway towns.

The Little Recyclers Clothes Project

By collecting clothes for recycling, we contribute to reducing textile waste in landfills, minimising the environmental footprint. This hands-on approach teaches our pupils about sustainability and responsible consumption. In addition, the program fosters a sense of community involvement and social responsibility among students, teachers, and parents. Schools become active participants in creating positive change for the environment whilst helping the most needed in the community.

Thank you as always to parents for your incredible donations.

Macmillan Coffee Event 2022

This year we honoured two very special parents who sadly lost the battle to Cancer. With your help, we have been able to donate to this amazing cause and hopefully contribute towards the support of others effected by this disease.

Dear God, we place our worries in your hands. We place our sick under your care and humbly ask that you restore your servant to health again. Above all, grant us the grace to acknowledge your will and know that whatever you do, you do for the love of us. Amen.

Our Mini Vinnies decided as a collective that they wanted to do something special for the community over Lent and therefore decided that every child deserves an Easter Egg. They planned and carried out the collection and the Food Bank were more than happy to come and collect our gifts.

Thank you to all for your wonderful kindness and generosity.

The Support Ukraine Appeal

We are simply overwhelmed by your generosity. In a time that is hard for many, you have given beyond all expectations.

Giving God, we thank you for enriching us with every good gift, and pray that our gifts together enable us to be Christ in the world; in whose name we pray. Amen.

God, who is greater than our hearts, help us to serve one another, to reveal our faith through action, by abiding in your love.

Book Fair

Scholastic Book Fair is a pop-up celebration of reading that puts the very best books directly into our pupils' hands, all whilst raising rewards to spend on free books and essential resources for our school.

We raised an amazing amount of money which allows us to stock up our library. Thank you!
