Welcome
Welcome to St Michael’s Catholic Primary School and Nursery. We serve the local community providing a Catholic education within our whole school ethos embedded in Christian values. Our school values are called CIRCLE values and stand for Care, Independence, Resilience, Church, Learning and Enjoyment. We encourage our whole school community to follow these values to ensure that we all conduct ourselves with respect as individuals created by Christ.
Our whole staff, whether teaching or support, strive to provide our children with a world class education to equip them with the tools that they will need to lead successful and aspirational lives – always striving for the best that they can be. At St Michael's we offer a rich diet of curriculum celebrated in our awards such as the Primary Science Quality Mark, the NAACE Mark for computing, the Arts Mark and the Inclusive Schools Quality Mark awarded for our fully inclusive school meeting all of our children's needs. We are members of the Greenacre Sports Partnership and hold awards for PE and sport. We have a successful football team and always enter a team for the Medway Mini Youth Games being able to transport our children and staff to events both sporting or other opportunities outside the school in our recently acquired school minibus. Learning for all is a priority in the St Michael's School community not only for the children but for the staff as well. All staff have the opportunity to access high quality CPD to keep them upskilled and to support them in their careers. We hold the Nurture the Workplace award meaning that we value staff's mental health and worklife balance. St Michael's is a good place to work and learn- as an adult as well as a child!
I am honoured to be the Head Teacher of this school with its atmosphere of learning, fun and enjoyment. I hope you find this website helpful and informative. However this is only a snapshot of what we provide for our children and for all the adults working in our school community. Please do feel free to come and visit our vibrant school by contacting the school office by phone 01634 832578 or email office@st-michaels.medway.sch.uk and Mrs Cleall-Harding, Ms Marsh or Mrs White will only be too happy to help.
