Using nothing but their wits, measuring tape, and chalk, they delved into the world of dinosaurs. π They recreated dinosaur footprints based on leg lengths and stride lengths, unravelling the mysteries of these ancient giants' locomotion. πΆββοΈπββοΈ From walking to trotting to running, they deciphered it all! π§ What did they discover? Today year 2 had great fun learning about the consecration. We thought about where this happens when we go to Mass and how at this point in the Mass we are the closest we can be to Jesus. We enjoyed role playing the consecration.

For Science week, Year 2 had great fun finding out about the different types of penguin and how they are adapted to the different habitats they live in.

Year 1 enjoyed meeting Edwina, the ex-commercial hen and Kat from Hen Weekend Chicken Boarding. The Year1 children put on their science hats asking many curious questions to find out all about chickens. They found out it takes a whole 24 hours for a hen to produce just one egg! π₯ π

The children in St. Simon's class were puzzled by the mysterious objects left in the school. They asked the question, what is it? What does it do? Why is it here? When was it made? Riley had some interesting ideas that she recalled from a book she had at home. 'It uses shadows.' The children are keen to discover what it is and how it works. #childrenlearningfromeachother

Today, Year 1 learned about the true meaning of Easter. They decorated eggs to symbolise new life, made a cross to help them remember Jesus died for everyone and made a start on an Easter garden, a place where we can reflect and remember Jesus is with us always. #Esaterpreperation #TheTrueMeaning #jesusgaveuslife
