Celebrate the Oceans! Happy World Oceans Day
World Oceans Day- 8th June 2021
This year’s theme is The Ocean: Life and Livelihoods.
This term, every class will have an experience to plan and carry out a short sustainability project in order to improve the environment using a goal from the United Nations sustainability development goals- we can all do our bit and every little helps! What a great way to start the term by celebrating the oceans and how important they are for our lives as well as how important it is that we look after them.
Did you know.... Nearly ¾ of our planet’s surface is covered by water. The oceans are a very important part of our world! As Global citizens we have a duty of care to learn about our world and how we can look after it so that future generations to come have a safe and resourceful world to live in.
Saint Michael's can't wait to see you all dressed up in your sea creature or blue clothes to celebrate on Friday 11th June.
