We were given 30 free saplings by the Woodland Trust who are on a mission to give as many people as possible the chance to plant a tree by giving away hundreds of thousands to schools and communities across the UK. We were given Silver Birch, Rowan and Wild Cherry which will create an oasis for birds as well as enhancing our school environment and general wellbeing. As well as planting on our school grounds, Father Peter allowed us to plant some saplings in the church field. He was very happy to help and said a blessing over the trees as they were planted.
