    As part of Year 1's 'Castle' topic, the children built model castles. Today they learned about battles and the acts of war; they put their new knowledge to the test and attacked with their very own cannonballs!

  • Reception have been having a 'hoot' with learning!

    Reception have been having a hoot with learning about nocturnal animals and non-fiction books. They have used their planning and constructing skills to create a bat cave and other habitats whilst developing their speech and language.

    Year 3 have been fully immersed in their story, The Iron Man.

    The partnership between home and school is invaluable; Year 3 were provided with the opportunity to create the main character from their story with their parents and what a result. St Michael's are so lucky to have such involved parents! We love our school community.

    What a creative week for St. Michael's!

     

    Children have been working creatively in Art and Design. In Year 2, the pupils have been developing their sculpting techniques, whilst Year 3 learned about the Step Pyramids in Egypt. They have made their pyramids using clay and the natural resources they collected last week.

    Year 5 have been developing their sculpting skills in Art and Design. Over the past couple of weeks, the children have developed their knowledge of slabs, coils and slips, and as a result, they have produced fabulous Viking faces.

  • 'Bugingham Palace'

    Fri 14 Jan 2022

    Forest school friends and KS2 children have been working collaboratively to construct and build a very special 'hotel' for creatures in our school. Also, children have added additional extras to our new hotel by planting rosemary and lavender and making seed bombs to grow around it. Hopefully in the summer, there will be a colourful display of flowers, busy with insects! Fingers crossed!
