    Did you know, sound vibrations travel in a wave pattern, and we call these vibrations sound waves? Today, Y4 were investigation sound and learnt that sound waves move by vibrating objects and these objects vibrate other surrounding objects, carrying the sound along. #scientists #investigations #crestawards

  • Investigating Light in Year 6

    Yesterday afternoon, Year 6 begun their Science topic 'Light' by completing practical investigations on questions such as 'What causes a shadow to form?'. Using their scientific enquiry skills, the children arrived at some solid conclusions.

    Year 2 have been learning about pitch using the ocarinas. Did you know stars from Bing Crosby to The Troggs have all had hits playing the Ocarina? The unique sound of similar vessel flutes has been prized since prehistoric times.

    Reception had a fantastic time at Victoria Gardens today. Their topic 'Around the World' saw them thinking about where they are in the World and what they could see. They managed to spot Rochester Castle and are excited about their future trip there. Lots of talking and listening!

    KS2 had a beautiful mass with Father Baker today. They looked closely at John 20: 24-29-Jesus and Thomas and thoroughly enjoyed sharing their thoughts and reflections. In addition, the children were able to celebrate Father Baker's birthday
